A short distance from Amalfi, in the bay of Conca dei Marini, is the Emerald Cave, which is considered to beauty and charm, the gem of the coast. Discovered in 1932, the cave, once dry, and then, because of the movements bradisismici, invaded by the sea, it owes its name to the particular color of the water in reflecting the light that penetrates through the rocks.

The cave can be reached by elevator or staircase with SS 163 and the sea through an artificial wharf.
From all the main towns of the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento there are ferries that organize guided excursions.
